Title:  Account Executive

As an Account Executive, you will use your stellar sales and planning experience to manage the relationship and uncover unique opportunities to deliver incremental volume within the West Region.  We are looking for top talent in the San Francisco, Sacramento, Los Angeles, CA or Boise, ID areas but may have flexibility for individuals in Pacific / Mountain Time Zones.  Customer accounts include WinCo, Stater Brothers, Raley’s and Save Mart as well as other key accounts.  On our team, we focus on great relationships – both with each other and our customers. With an owner's mindset, you will work with the field sales team to deliver market-leading customer plans and growth strategies, while managing trade dollars within assigned budgets, to execute customer specific trade plans.  We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset. 




  • Make A Whole Lotta Strategic Decisions - You'll consider immediate and long-term implications, benefits, costs, and risks associated with alternatives to create, implement, and monitor the success of a business plan.
  • Lead Sales Efforts - You'll promote a customer-centered culture that strives to exceed customer needs, requirements, and expectations.  We're hoping you can take a new angle on what otherwise might be ordinary.
  • Ensure Accuracy - Help us bring the best to families.  You'll reinforce our passion for the future, with the practical steps to get there.  You will play a key role in maintaining integrity, and timeliness of operating budgets.  
  • Broker Management – Win with our broker partners by providing strategic direction to Acosta Business Managers (in accounts where we have a broker partnership).   






  • Significant related experience 
  • Ability to develop, present, and execute customer plans 
  • Ability to understand market dynamics, forecast results, and analyze and interpret data
  • Strong understanding of trade strategy, retail operation, and negotiation skills
  • Effective written and oral communication, and a track record of Sales success
  • Belief in the power of food to make a positive change in people and the world around us
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, a servant mindset, and a passion for winning
  • Motor vehicle history with 2 or less moving violations within the last 36 months


Bonus Points:


  • BA/BS Degree
  • Experience calling on buyers and category managers at the headquarters level 
  • Broker management experience  
  • Experience managing trade dollars within assigned budgets
  • Intrinsic enthusiasm for natural foods, natural/organic lifestyle, and nutrition 




The ideal candidate will reside within the Pacific Time Zone (potentially Mountain Time Zone) ideally in California or Boise. 


  • A flexible work schedule and the ability to overnight travel up to 30% of the time but may vary depending on location of residence.
