Title:  Senior Manager Business Development

Advance your career as a Senior Manager Business Development.  We are looking for top talent in US locations including but not limited to Chicago, IL, Cincinnati, OH, Rogers, AR, Battle Creek, MI, Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC.  Offering a fresh perspective, you will be a strong member of the N&I Sales Leadership team and will provide leadership in the areas of business management, planning, Revenue Growth Management (RGM), category growth, and trade development.  This position leads the optimization, strategy and presentation of new growth opportunities to the account leadership using comprehensive analytic solutions across all categories.  You will deliver on growth objectives set out in the annual strategic and operating plans while contributing positively to a burgeoning people first culture. 


Serving as a strategic partner, you will provide comprehensive analytical solutions.  You will leverage multiple data sources (e.g. syndicated, customer and loyalty data and TPM forecasts) to grow the business and enable account leadership to meet annual sales objectives.  We are looking for someone with entrepreneurial mindset.  Help us bring the best to families!




  • Business Development Plans - This position leads the creation and delivery of an annual business development plan for the category.
  • Annual Planning - Working with Commercial teams together you will inform the development of annual commercial business plans to deliver financial and in market commitments.  You will lead the translation of N&I directives to the Customer Level aligned to deliver customer Gross Sales Volume (GSV), Net Sales Volume (NSV) and Contribution targets. This includes leading the Week 2 / Sales Business Review (SBR) process to manage risks/opportunities to deliver plans and commitments throughout the fiscal year.  You will collaborate with customer engagement and account teams for customer-specific trade insights. 
  • Category Insights- Providing fact-based insights your goal is to grow sales.  This includes the following:
    • Accessing, analyzing, and interpreting business indicators including shipments, Trade Promotion Management (TPM), consumption, shopper trends, inventory, pricing, and their impact on the business.
    • Leading and developing analysis methodologies to track market, feature and base pricing and providing solutions.
    • Bringing forward key learnings and developing internal and external presentations to enable the delivery of the annual business plan.
  • Best Practice Development - Building and maintaining a working expertise of industry tools and “best practices” will be key to your success.   
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborating cross-functionally you will develop relationships and partnerships with various teams such as Category Management, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.
  • Project Management - Executing projects and activities in a timely manner you will provide critical support to the category and sales team.






  • Significant sales / business development experience in consumer-packaged goods
  • Proven ability to drive analytical thought process while working with multiple support functions to achieve common agreed upon goals
  • Previous experience required communicating complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally
  • Must be able to use effective verbal and written communication skills daily
  • Must have the ability to work in conditions that include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints 
  • Ability to lead, align, manage resolve conflict, and work in an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to quickly prioritize and communicate effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
  • Belief in the power of food to make a positive change in people and the world around us
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, a servant mindset and a passion for winning


Bonus Points:


  • BA/BS Degree
  • Previous experience working with Syndicated Data sources (e.g. IRI/Nelson/Panel), loyalty card data (e.g. 84.51) and Customer data (Market 6/ Orchestro) highly preferred
  • Intrinsic enthusiasm for natural foods, natural/organic lifestyle and nutrition 




The ideal candidate will reside in the Chicago, IL or in a remote (non-Kellogg office) location in the United States near a major airport location.   


Role will entail a flexible work schedule and an ability to travel up to 25% of the time but may vary depending on location of residency.
