Title:  Consumer Insights Manager


Are you looking to use your creativity and analytical mindset to play a key role in advancing our market-leading, iconic cereal portfolio of brands? In this Consumer Insights Manager position, you will act as a strategic business partner supporting the Ready-To-Eat-Cereal category, driving consumer and shopper insights and strategy across the brand and commercial teams. Consumers are at the heart of everything we create! With your strong understanding of consumer and shopper needs, you will be able to identify consumer conversion opportunities and assist with the development of marketing initiatives based on key drivers.


We’ll leave it to you to help elevate the impact of the Insights & Analytics function on the business by challenging the status quo, providing deep, behavior-based shopper insights, and ensuring research efforts are focused on commercial applicability/impact.

  • Collaboration is Key – You will actively engage with multiple cross-functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize key business issues and translate them into strategic learning plans to drive breakthrough strategies.
  • New Ideas Welcome! – Did a light bulb just go off? Tell us more! You will lead the development and evaluation of new ideas with dependable and insightful tools to provide teams with a strong understanding of consumer potential for our innovative ideas.
  • Analytics Drive Actions – You will generate insights from disparate data sources (existing, syndicated, POS, and custom research) and marketplace trends, identifying opportunities to grow the Kellogg cereal portfolio. You will drive organizational adoption of actionable items by telling compelling stories with data and by effectively bringing our consumers to life.
  • Top-notch Tools – You will partner with key vendors to continually refine and improve our consumer discovery solutions. You will also work with segmentation tools to identify core consumer needs and develop a portfolio map to allocate roles within the category.







  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, psychology, or a related field with experience in customer and shopper insights
  • Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders to understand their needs, identify and prioritize key issues, and translate them into strategic learning plans with clear objectives and methodologies/tools to answer specific business needs
  • Experience in executing, analyzing, and developing recommendations leveraging research across a variety of methodologies for various business applications: Human understanding (Behavioral Science, segmentations, range of qualitative methods), marketplace trends (syndicated sources), innovation (concept development/testing, product testing), brand building (positioning and advertising development/testing, brand health), as well as business performance (scanning/panel data)       
  • Self-starter who holds themselves and their team accountable for performance- while still able to keep it fun!
  • Achievement-driven with a focus on results and business performance, even when it means pushing back and respectfully challenging the status quo
  • Creative strategic thinker and problem solver, accustomed to working collaboratively in teams
  • Strong communication skills- as an active listener and skilled integrator
  • Proficiency working in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Bonus Points:


  • Experience with market research in CPG spaces
  • Experience in both entrepreneurial and classic consumer packaged goods environments
  • MBA or Master’s in Market Research, Advertising, Experimental Psychology or related field
