Title:  Director, Brand Marketing - Salty Snacks


Our Salty Snacks portfolio is driving growth for the Kellogg Company and within the categories in which we compete.  As Marketing Director, you’ll be leading a cracker portfolio comprised of heritage brands such as Club, Town House, Toasteds, Zesta, and Carr’s.  You will be responsible for driving brand performance and market share by developing commercial plans that deliver results.  In this role, you’ll create the future with us by contributing to longer-term brand and category strategy creation while owning and implementing annual plans.  Additionally, this role will be a critical leader in developing the consumer communications strategy to drive brand awareness and support product launches, and partner with sales, category strategy, and finance to generate demand in the market and profitable long-term growth.


This role reports directly to the General Manager, Salty Snacks.




  • Deliver the Results – You will develop brand strategies based on strong consumer, customer, and market landscape insights, while setting a compelling vision for the future of the cracker portfolio and individual brands via core health and white space expansion to drive accelerated growth.  All the while, you’ll enroll the organization and rally multi-functional resources to deliver the plans.
  • Strengthen the Organization – You will develop the marketing talent on the team through talent management and enable the team day-to-day through coaching and breaking down barriers.  As a people leader, you will also coach and develop your three direct reports, and cross-functional team members to effectively execute category and brand strategies.
  • Be Strategic and Analytical – We will look to you to be insights and data-driven, capable of contributing at the strategic level and also able to help build at the tactical level.  As an established marketing leader you will be consumer-centric and naturally curious with a sense for solving problems that others may not realize exist and to push beyond the status quo.
  • Create the Future – With strong team leadership, you will shape a growth portfolio for the next 3 plus years and ensure the long-term health of our brands, developing the game plan to grow.





  • Bachelor's Degree
    • Preferably in Marketing or related field
  • Strong knowledge of CPG marketing vehicles and marketing fundamentals, particularly high-impact consumer promotions, advertising, and packaging
  • Strong leadership & communication skills, both written and verbal plus the ability to perceive and present information both analytically and creatively, to all levels of the organization, including executive
  • Nielsen/IRI/SPINs or similar market analysis database to drive business decisions and generate insights to understand consumer behavior
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams and agency partners
  • Belief in the power of food to make a positive change in people and the world around us
  • Demonstrated excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, communication, presentation, coaching, leadership and people management, and development skills
  • Strong strategic mindset that translates to business results
  • A track record of creative drive and a passion for nurturing great ideas that cut through the clutter to bring a fresh take to the market
  • Proven ability to work in matrix organization to deliver results
  • Ten or more years’ FMCG marketing experience in brand and/or innovation
  • Strong knowledge of insights, ROI, RGM, P&L
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, humility, a servant mindset and a passion for winning
