Title:  Global Engineering Intern - Summer 2023

Description:

Grow your career as an Intern on the Kellogg Global Engineering team – where we believe in your success. Here at Kellogg, we are always seeking to add top talent like you to our pipeline for future roles. We will be looking to fill multiple 3-month intern positions in Process, Packaging and Electrical for 2023. During your time with us, you’ll be building your network and expertise in a thriving environment of professional development and teamwork. And together we’ll shape a stronger future for our company and your career.

This internship will have a hybrid location – part remote, part in our Global HQ offices in Battle Creek, Michigan. You will also have the opportunity to travel to different U.S. plants throughout your internship. When you are a Kellogg’s Intern, you will be a contributing member of the Global Engineering team and your input matters!

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

As part of the Kellogg Internship program, you will participate in our corporate onboarding orientation and have the chance to visit our Kellogg World Headquarters in Battle Creek, Michigan (Cereal City, USA!) during the Intern Finale meeting. These events consist of executive exposure, former intern & executive panels, networking events, community activities and much more.

This paid internship requires a 3-month, full-time commitment starting May 2023. Relocation advising and sign-on bonus provided – and did we mention we have plenty of snacks? Travel may be required but will depend on geography and placement. The internship concludes with a Final Showcase event and presentation to functional leaders.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

In your role as a Global Engineering Intern at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:

  • Planning and Executing – You will be part of assigned product, process and packaging development projects that are tied to real-business needs.

  • Organization is Key – As a Global Engineer Intern, analyzing equipment data that is needed to support scope commitments as well as process definition and process scale-up efforts will become part of day-to-day activities.

  • The Bottom Line - Assisting in analysis, discovery and execution of production line efficiency and sustainability improvements to increase production rate, reduce waste and reduce our environmental impact is another great experience you will have this summer. Continuous Improvement anyone?

  • Your Seat at the Table – Part of your internship will consist of participating in lab work with Kellogg Engineers, pilot plant runs and production plant trips to gain equipment information, performance data and layout development, and gather process and product information. This internship may also take you to plants outside of Michigan, travel can range up to 40%.

  • What Else? – You also have the opportunity to assist with development of detailed flow diagrams and support equipment design to improve line capabilities.
