Title:  Maintenance Electrician

Do you have a skill for working with electrical and mechanical components? Join us at our Battle Creek facility on 2nd or 3rd shift where you will be a part of making delicious snacks! You will be partnering with Operations, Quality Food Safety, and Environmental Health and Safety personnel as a key collaborator solving problems on all things electrical! You will be working with a fun, energetic, and talented team. We are looking for a “Sparky” to join the team! Let’s ohm, amp, watt and volt to it!

 

This position pays $37.19 per hour and is eligible for overtime pay after 8 hours in a day, Saturdays, and DOUBLE TIME on Sunday!

 

 

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

  • Maintaining Equipment and Utilizing Your PLC Knowledge  - You will be alternating in between troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and on the spot machine repair. You will need a firm focus and understanding of programmable logic controllers and robotics.  Candidate must be able to maintain proper documentation, electrical upgrades, and make modifications and improvements.
  • Analyzing Conditions and Providing Solutions - Identifying and examining production equipment failures to understand root cause analysis, with the help of interpreting schematics and drawings. Investigating, analyzing and repairing electrical systems while working with PLC programming and other computer-based applications.
  • Driving Innovation and Communication - Actively improving plant efficiency and identifying cost saving opportunities. While maintaining an open dialogue with Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Mechanics and Operators, on day-to-day activities and long-term improvement projects.

 

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

 

Required: 

  • Journeyman’s OR Electronics/Technical Degree OR 4 years of Industrial Electrical Maintenance
  • PLC Troubleshooting experience
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavior-based safety systems
  • Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and / or repetitive tasks throughout the day. Employee will be required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
