HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Interprets the Blue Anchor Collective Bargaining Agreement, Employee Handbook, Attendance Policies and all HR policies, advises managers and oversees managers compliance to guidelines. Provides guidance to Department Managers and Supervisors with timely and accurate information on employee issues and provides options and/or alternatives to meet needs of business utilizing current HR programs available.
- Assists in resolving employee relations issues and providing counsel to management. Provides advices on matters such as pay and performance.
- May assist with annual compensation planning process and coordinates hourly wage rate changes for designated area.
- Actively participates in the development and implementation of negotiation strategies. Serves as a member of the Plant’s contract negotiation committee, maintaining minutes/notes of negotiations. Researches research Plant Work Rules and grievance issues to provide proper direction and support to the HR Manager. Address employees’ labor concerns and provides resolutions. Reviews and discusses labor issues with Union Stewards with timely resolution and response. Reviews and maintain progressive discipline warnings system and process. Assists in Suspension Hearings, maintains detailed documentation, including maintaining discipline and grievance logs.
- Manages job bid process for Union Hourly employees with Plant Operations. Works closely with hiring managers and supervisors to monitor all phases of internal and external job openings, including drafting and updating job profiles.
- Coordinates recruitment process and related activities, including scheduling pre-employment WorkWell screening for physicals and drug-testing, assessment testing, interviews, and employment related follow-through. Attends recruiting events and coordinates on-boarding of new employees. Conducts new hire orientation training and exit interviews. Serves as point of contact for all Workforce Development activities in the recruitment process.
- Drafts annual communication and engagement plans for entire site. Initiates and assists in the facilitation and coordination of company sponsored special projects and events.
- Supports HR Manager, HR Business Partners by assisting with Technician Training Program, qualifications, HR metrics reporting, attendance tracking, Family Medical Leave (FMLA), short/ long term disability case management, and the return to work process. Coordinate with unemployment vendor to provide records and researches related issues.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
Required:
4-Year degree from accredited college or university.
Strong written & verbal communication skills, analytical ability, and ability to work effectively with a team are required.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working in a human resource capacity and General knowledge of food industry and manufacturing practices is preferred.
Project and change management experience preferred.
