Title:  Pricing Specialist Temporary - Remote

Come join our team as a Pricing Specialist (Temporary).  We are looking for top talent in the Chicago, IL (Naperville) area but are open to individuals in other remote locations in the United States.  This is a 6-month contract opportunity.  Averaging 40 hours per week you will get gr-r-reat experience while sharpening your skills, adding new work experience to your resume, and making professional connections.  As part of a dynamic, progressive team of sales professionals you will execute pricing and price agreements.  This will be critical as you support the business in delivering net sales and operating profit goals for the Specialty Channels Business Unit.  Effective and efficient management of the bid pricing and contract process will be key to your success.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

  • Bid Requests – Reviewing and analyzing bid requests you will make recommendations on products and pricing.  This will include analyzing bid recaps in order to understand win, loss, and share data.  You will identify risk and opportunity areas as well as capturing competitive information. 
  • Data Integrity – You will own the critical responsibility of ensuring the accuracy of data, timely submissions, compliance with bid requirement as well as compliance with internal audit guidelines.  Running reports and providing input into double dips and invalid pricing, this is necessary in order to recoup money from the customer.
  • Contract Support – Maintaining contract pricing integrity you will support all channels within Specialty. 
  • Bid Process – Managing the Non-Profit and For-Profit bid process you will ensure accurate, timely and financially sound pricing decisions and pricing integrity.  Using the Vistex system as well as various customer managed bid and contract systems you will manage the process within Specialty Channels.  This includes direct communication with the customers on contracts. 
  • Collaboration – Working with corporate functional partners you will gather necessary documentation required to complete bid submissions and comply with specifications.  The corporate functions include but are not limited to legal, quality, R&D, nutrition, and treasury. 
  • Spins Support – Help us Unleash Our Potential.  In preparation for the upcoming company spin off you will work within the team as well as other partners to provide reporting and analysis on the skus that are a part of the Spins or Project Window. 
  • Net Price Realization – You will provide reporting and analysis on where we are at in regard to the goals set for New Price Realization.

 

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

 

  • Relevant business experience.  Consumer Packaged Goods Foodservice Bid, Sales or Customer Service Experience is preferred
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • High degree of organization and analytical skills as well as strong attention to detail.
  • Must be skilled in computer and software applications to work with all levels of personnel within and outside of the organization. 
  • Customer and Team Focused
