Title:  European Tax Analyst (Fixed Term Contract)

Our colleagues in the Finance team in Ireland are looking for a new European Tax Analyst

As part of the International Tax team you will play a key role in assisting with tax audit defence, transfer pricing, company reorganisations and acquisitions. You will also have responsibility for managing the corporate tax reporting and compliance obligations for certain European territories.



In this Fixed Term Contract, Dublin based role the successful candidate will be an important member of a commercial & strategic global team. This would be an ideal position for a Tax Manager or Tax Senior looking to make their first move into industry or for somebody who has worked in a corporate tax role in a large company environment.


As part of the International Tax team, you will play a key role in assisting with tax audit defence, transfer pricing, company reorganisations and acquisitions. You will also have responsibility for managing the corporate tax reporting and compliance obligations for certain European territories. 



    • Tax audit defence – liaise with tax authorities and external tax advisers; prepare responses to tax authority information requests; assist with the preparation of any appeal documentation.


    • Transfer pricing  - support the preparation of transfer pricing reports for various jurisdictions; liaise with service providers in respect of same.


    • Cash and capital planning – assist with the structuring of any cash repatriations or capital projects; work closely with the Group’s Treasury and Legal functions.


    • Group reorganisations /acquisitions – assist with the design and implementation of internal and third-party acquisition structures.


    • Tax knowledge share – monitor regulatory and legislative changes to determine applicability to business.


    • Work with the other members of the International Tax team to ensure that tax payment requests are raised and related tax returns and other filings are accurately prepared and submitted on a timely basis.


    • Monitor tax compliance deadlines throughout Europe and ensure other members of the tax team are aware of the relevant deadlines.


    • Liaise with service providers in a number of jurisdictions to ensure all required information is provided to enable the service provider to prepare the tax computations and tax returns; prepare certain tax computations and tax returns that are prepared in-house.


    • Assist with the tax reporting requirements to be submitted to Corporate HQ; prepare effective tax rate calculations for review; prepare tax reporting templates as part of the year-end tax reporting process; provide support on any other queries from the US on tax compliance and reporting.


    • Provide support to the International Tax team in Dublin in relation to DAC 6 reporting and Country by Country reporting.


    • Provide tax support to the Kellogg’s business on day to day issues and business initiatives requiring tax input, in particular supporting the business on business change projects; support and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the broader business.


    • Be responsible for organising and owing ad-hoc tax projects and ensuring that these projects are led to conclusion.



  • Accountancy and/or tax qualification. 
  • A minimum of 2 years experience specialising in corporate tax in either practice or a large corporate environment is a pre-requisite for the role.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills and ability to work to your own initiative.
  • Experience with US GAAP tax accounting would be beneficial but is not essential.
