Title:  Manager, Talent Acquisition Programs


As Talent Acquisition Programs Manager you will lead our University Relations, Apprenticeship, and Diversity partnership programs for Kellogg North America (KNA).  Keeping up on industry trends and insights, in this strategic position, you will lead your team to think outside the box and get creative. This role is based in Grand Rapids, MI, in our Global Business Services team but can be virtual and remotely based.




  • University Relations In this role, you will define and oversee the implementation of our overall University Relations program, inclusive of campus recruitment strategies and relationship development, as well as intern program management and placement.  You will partner with internal stakeholders to gain understanding of campus and diversity-related goals and needs, and provide direction and consultation on strategic and emerging recruitment trends, best practices, legal developments, and benchmark comparisons.  And, you’ll integrate the work of University Relations into a future workforce pipeline strategy for KNA.
  • Skilled Trades Apprenticeships – You will lead the team managing our new Apprenticeship program, providing oversight on program management, strategic planning, and overall facilitation.  Additionally, you will partner with Manufacturing leaders on identifying current gaps within Skilled Trades and make recommendations on how to implement successful Apprenticeship programs.  Our success is shaped by you.
  • Strategic Partnerships – To serve diverse consumers, we need a diverse workforce.  You will play a key role in driving Kellogg’s commitment to diversity initiatives by researching and making recommendations for strategic external recruiting partners.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration – As part of the KNA Hire to Retire Leadership team, you will play an integral role towards the success of our team, bringing external insights in, and helping to define best practices.   We hope you like managing and developing people too because in this role you will have four direct reports. 






  • Ability to work independently, as well as effectively within a team with members of all levels of experience, and must be able to work well with a variety of key customers throughout the organization
  • Experience managing activities and events, demonstrating organizational and planning skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude with experience providing thoughtful and responsive service to your partners  
  • Previous full lifecycle recruitment management experience including interviewing, sourcing, and candidate management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques, as well as federal and state laws regarding employment practice.
  • Understanding of hiring practices and behavioral-based interview techniques
  • Previous experience utilizing an applicant tracking system (SuccessFactors preferred)
  • Strong University Relations or Supply Chain recruitment experience
  • High School Diploma or GED and extensive related experience


Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Experience at large multi-national consumer packaged goods company
  • Experience working to service level agreements in a customer-driven organization
