Title:  Power Controls and Information Systems Engineer


Exciting and rare opportunity to join our fantastic Manchester Plant as a Power Controls and Information Systems Engineer!


In this role, you will be responsible for managing, supporting and overseeing the maintenance and development of the electrical power, automation control and information systems within the facility.  You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the team and create real impact within the facility.


Here's a taste of what you will doing!



  • Manage the plant electrical system, including HV and miscellaneous services budget
  • Manage the maintenance of specialist service contracts
  • Manage the work and priorities of a team of flexible day Electrical craft, Electrical contractors and other technical service contract providers
  • Provide PC&IS technical support to both shift and day operations, and support on Capital Projects
  • Support the development of the Electrical Craft Group
  • Contribute to the achievement of department objectives by promoting effective working relationships, providing excellent customer service and acting as the "resident expert" and accountable person for Electrical Services and Distribution
  • Ensure all activities are completed safely, to industry best practice and to mandatory legal inspections and testing 
  • Work with other departments and functions such as IT and European Engineering and also other plants as necessary to share/gain knowledge on project roll outs.


Your recipe for success


  • Minimum of 3 years experience within a PC&IS environment 
  • Good communication and analytical skills are required
  • Ideally knowledge and maintance of HV equipment
  • FMCG experience is desirable but not required
