Title:  Public Relations Intern-12 Month FTC

Do you have an eye for a good story?  Are you passionate about public relations and communications? Then we’d love you to consider applying for the 12-month Public Relations & Communications industrial placement in the UK and Ireland Corporate Affairs team at Kellogg’s.

As we’re putting our hearts and souls into the future of food, we’ll be looking at you to support the team in executing its PR and internal communications plans.

We are looking for someone to help us tell the story of Kellogg’s, our values, and the difference we are making to communities across Britain

You will be comfortable picking through complex issues and helping us tell our story to the media and our employees – whether that’s having a go writing press releases, helping to build internal communications campaigns, or organising one of our community events

You will also get exposure to all aspects of communications from corporate storytelling and brand PR to internal communications, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills in a broad range of areas to help your future career

The Kellogg’s Corporate Affairs team is responsible for all aspects of the company’s external corporate communications, employee communications and our work with charities and the community.  So, you should love rolling up your sleeves and mucking in, as no day will be the same.

  • Currently studying a relevant degree e.g., Public Relations or Business Studies
  • A demonstrable desire to pursue a career in PR is important
  • Excellent written skills and attention to detail
  • Organised and able to juggle several different projects and tasks
  • Approachable and comfortable dealing with internal and external stakeholders, e.g., journalists

  • This is an important and highly valued role within the corporate affairs team, an opportunity to be visible, roll up your sleeves and make a difference.
  • We offer all the ‘big company’ perks you would expect plus flexible working, working from home and free breakfast cereal all day!
  • This role is mostly based at our UK head office in Manchester’s Media City, with the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week
  • It’s a 12-month fixed term contract

Please attach, together with your current CV, a cover letter telling us what motivates you to want a career in PR and what is your biggest achievement.

Growing and nurturing the world starts with our employees, which is why our tailor-made career growth programmes are just what you need to set yourself for success.

It’s each and everyone’s unique flavour that make up Kellogg’s recipe for success and the diversity of ideas, experiences and beliefs that fuel our future ready momentum and embolden our make it happen culture.
