Title:  Labor Relations Advisor

Description: 

Are you passionate about assisting people with the “behind the scenes stuff” so that they can be fully engaged with their job? As a Labor Relations Advisor, you will play a key role in the Human Resources Department at the Omaha, NE Plant: working to drive employee engagement and playing a key role in employee accountability. You will also interface with the Plant Staff including Supervisors, Managers, Generalist/Schedulers and Hourly employees as appropriate. Do you love food that is both nutritious and delicious? HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Set the Pace - You'll drive the overall management of Employee Relations activities for the plant including: Handling employee complaints, employee grievances, employee discipline and promoting and expanding positive employee relationships on-site.
  • Collaboration is Key - You'll serve as liaison between Site HR Manager, Kellogg North America Manufacturing Business Unit HRBP and Global Business Services (GBS) as appropriate.
  • Fresh Thinking - You'll partner with front line supervisors in HR policy, conflict resolution, relationship building, employee/labor relations, etc. which will require a high level of discretion and independent operation.
  • Tools for Success - Driving manager and employee adoption of HR technology, service delivery model and programs. Redirects HR inquiries to the most efficient and effective resource (technology, service center, etc.)
  • Agility - You'll assist with other HR Generalist activities not defined including employee engagement activities, crew scheduling, labor relations meetings, etc.

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

 

  • Experience in the Human Resources field
  • Experience working in a union environment
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Flexible working hours
  • General knowledge of food industry and manufacturing practices
  • Experience using Kronos/Ceridian
  • Experience using SAP
