Title:  Senior Trade Marketing Manager, Snacks SEA

Description: 

We are looking for an outstanding Trade Marketer to manage the Snacks business for Southeast Asia across a portfolio of countries. The position holds the responsibility for plans creation and deployment to execution; Volume and NSV delivery and FGA (spend) budget management against those goals for the countries in the region.

 

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Volume, NSV & margin management for Snacks category:
    • Co-create with commercial team the go-to-market plan for the year set by the regional Pringles team
    • Work with Sales team and distributors to develop plans for the year based on company targets through JBP process and follow through with timely reviews and clear communications to adjust plans – including addressing any cause of shortfall in a timely manner.
    • Understand and leverage the business processes/drumbeat of Demand and supply planning/month business planning to enable the country teams on monthly IMS delivery.
    • Review the activities deployed to verify effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Spend budget and revenue growth management for respective Channels and key retail partners:
    • Ensure spending within overall budget aligned and as per country wise strategies & objectives set by the regional Pringles team, with a keen eye on how we partner key retailers in SEA.
    • Continuously assess room for RGM through understanding of the impact of the activities deployed through spend ROI.
    • Work with the respective country managers and give them visibility to their spend impact and adherence to spend strategy & plan, as well as understand the FGA impact & its variables by market.
  • Understand shopper behavior and provide insights that will allow us to win with shoppers and retailers of today and tomorrow:
    • Work with the country managers to understand shopper trends, competition activity and in store initiatives, thus impacting countries’ strategies.
    • Analyze market data like AC Nielsen and provide insights on category, sku mix, price pack architecture, distribution, new opportunities etc.
    • Help create the right “first moment of truth” POS material through shopper insights allowing for maximum impact in store.
  • Work on NPD portfolio and launches with SEA and regional Pringles team:
    • Work closely with marketing on the innovation drumbeat to understand the NPD calendar and give inputs as voice of sales on project timelines, trade requirements (eg. Halal cert), pricing, planogram, number of skus, right to win – USP etc.
    • Create customer engagement plans for NPD and go-to-market along with marketing covering the consumer and shopper needs through the WHAT and HOW of the project.
    • Input on new initiatives/opportunities (eg. A new price point or new sizing) leading to product/ category creation based on shipper insights.
  • Deliver the business processes enabling the business
    • KSOP process drumbeat – align plan sufficiency with demand and supply chain and ensure forecast in line with IMS target from markets.
    • QBP – engage and excite the country managers by co creating the quarterly business planning presentations that should include all quarter ahead plans, promotions, ideas, samples, NPD etc.
    • Innovation drumbeat – fully engage as voice of sales and trade in the innovation drumbeat that showcases all innovation initiatives in the works to ensure the right products are deployed the right way.

 

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • A reputable university degree in any field, with an MBA being a plus.
  • Minimum 10-12 years sales and trade marketing experience with a FMCG company would be preferred. Has proven track record with people management.
  • Distributor management and marketing experiences would be an added advantage for this role.
