HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

  • Planning Process – You will own and collaboratively drive the annual planning process for the Veggie, Front End and Seasonal businesses.  Maintaining the ongoing plan you will a focus on delivering Business Unit and Customer objectives, while leveraging the Revenue Growth Management (RGM) principles.  You will provide analysis and suggestions on opportunities to improve forecast accuracy.  Utilizing Trade Promotion Management (TPM), Walmart Supply Plan, and other data sources will proactively drive reliability in Gross Sales Volume, Net Sales Volume, and Sales Contribution Margin.
  • Business Analytics – Utilizing your resources will be imperative to your success as you proactively track, analyze, and make strategic and tactical recommendations around program results and forecasts.  You will provide analysis and suggestions on opportunities to improve forecast accuracy while driving reliability in Gross Sales Volume, Net Sales Volume, and Sales Contribution Margin for the businesses you support.  This will be achieved based on analysis of promotion, spending, and volume (forecasts and actuals).
  • Account Collaboration Partnering with Account Executives and cross-functional Teams across the Veggie, Front End, Seasonal and Ecommerce businesses, you will fully leverage Sales Planning initiatives.  Together, you will work collaboratively to forecast base and incremental volume, appropriate trade rates, and avoid/minimize price discrepancies. 
  • Data Champion – In this role you are responsible for the team’s data integrity.  You will act as the team expert on the Tableau-based 3PLAG (3 period lag) Forecasting Tool, providing monthly reporting, trending, and key drivers information to the Team.  The individual will also be responsible for running and maintaining various key reports across the RGM and Sales Planning Teams by utilizing and combining multiple data sources. Reports include but are not limited to SCIM (Shipments, Consumption, Inventory Management), Supply Plan vs. TPM, Market Pricing reporting, and other RGM reports. 

 

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

 

Required:

 

  • Firm understanding of promotional methodology and management
  • Proven ability to communicate complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally
  • Ability to work in conditions which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints
  • Advanced Excel expertise and proven efficiency working in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

 

Bonus Points:

 

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Previous sales, revenue growth management, business planning and/or analytical experience
  • Advanced technical ability in Trade Promotion Management Software (TPM)
  • Microsoft Access Experience
  • Proven fact-based selling experience as well as experience with Nielsen, Retail Link, Business Warehouse Reporting and SAP
