Title:  Quality Materials Associate

Description: 

Ensure material supplier compliance with Kellogg Quality and Food Safety standards. Develops, implements and maintains material specifications in our Product Life-cycle system, quality programmes, vendor relationships including approvals.

 

 

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

  • Responsible for the supplier and materials approval process by reviewing the food safety and quality attributes of new materials/supplier sites.
  • Compliance of specifications and food safety. Involved in quality relationships with Procurement, R&D, Kellogg facilities and the supplier
  • Keeps informed on the safety and regulatory compliance of ingredients and potential contaminants.
  • Maintains accurate and up to date material and supplier information in PLM.
  • Works with suppliers on root cause analysis and ensures execution of corrective action/preventive action plan. Works with Auditing Team to drive suppliers to understand, comply with K expectations and drive improvement

 

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

 

  • B.S. and two year experience, M.S., or college level courses in Food Science/ Grain Science/ Food Technology Microbiology / Chemistry.
  • The incumbent should have knowledge and ability to understand food law, food technology, food chemistry, microbiology, cereal science and agricultural practice.
  • The incumbent should possess leadership and communication skills, and diplomacy that will promote good relations with suppliers, Procurement & management.
  • This individual must be able to function effectively as a planner, coordinator, and communicator.
