HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

As a Specifications Technologist you will be responsible for -

  • Reviewing and interpreting internal and supplier material specifications, considering compositional data, ingredient physical/chemical parameters, sensory attributes and nutritional content.
  • Accurate input of material specification data into our internal product lifecycle system, to ensure raw material specifications are maintained, up to date and robust.
  • Liaising with our Quality and Food Development teams to consider and advise on aspects of raw materials and possible impact to recipes and finished food products.
  • Completing specification reviews in a timely manner, taking ownership of own work flow, understanding that priorities can change.
  • Liaising with multiple departments in the business to ensure the product lifecycle system remains fit for purpose and drive improvements.

 

 

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

 

  • Fluency in English
  • Hold a degree in Food Science, Food Technology or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and ability to understand raw material specifications, ingredient physical/chemical parameters, cereal science and nutrition.
  • Technical knowledge of ingredient functionality in recipe formulation, and manufacturing processes.
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously with effective communication skills to build good relations across teams.
  • Show flexibility in the face of changing work demands, planning, prioritising and coordinating accordingly.
