Our Marketing team has end-to-end ownership of marketing campaigns, running unique programs for the local Australian market.  Another big part of our focus is innovation – what’s on the horizon, what new & exciting products can we introduce to our Breakfast & Wholesome Snacks ranges that will continue to excite consumers.  This Assistant Brand Manager role focusses on just that – Innovation and Growth Channels, you will assist in building our innovation pipeline for the ANZ business.  Along with this you will lead key New Product Development (NPD) projects for our Growth Channels business which includes retailers such as Aldi & Costco as well as a range of others.

 

This is a unique role, which in the early stages of your Marketing career will provide you with awesome experience and exposure to building an innovation strategy and pipeline calendar.  You will work collaboratively with the Brand Marketing team, Sales, Supply Chain, R&D and external parties to assist in setting our future direction!

 

More specifically you will get involved in:

  • Assist in building the 3-5 year innovation strategy & pipeline calendar – supporting the Senior Brand Manager to pull data from a range of sources to build the strategy.
  • Participation in inter & intra department discussions as well as meetings with regional, global and external counterparts to create alignment and shared confidence in our plans
  • Project manage and lead innovation projects – focusing on delivering NPD for the Growth Channels that meet/exceed targets
  • Assist in managing the current innovation calendar
  • Assist in building the quarterly innovation scorecard in conjunction with Finance, highlighting innovation performance
  • Assist in the preparation of research briefs in conjunction with our Insights & Planning team to uncover key brands, shopper & consumer insights
  • Assists in the preparation of nutritional insights – working closely with our Nutrition & Regulatory teams to uncover nutrition claims to unlock for future projects.   

 

About you:

Degree qualified in Marketing, Business or Commerce you will have had some previous working experience as either a Marketing Coordinator or Assistant Brand Manager.  This role will involve you working across a range of different projects at different stages, so the ability to multi-task and prioritise will be key to your success.  A high level of attention to detail is essential as is the ability to pivot where needed to deliver project with speed. Some demonstration of strategic thinking and ability to translate innovation insights into new ideas, concepts and prototypes would be advantageous.  This role works very cross-functionally and there are multiple stakeholders involved in these projects so the ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) is also essential.
