We’re re-investing in our Botany manufacturing facility to ensure we continue produce products of premium quality to continue to maintain customer satisfaction.  As a result of this re-investment we have introduced the role of Hygiene Manager.  This position plays a critical role in ensuring that our Botany manufacturing plant complies with the Kellogg Global requirements in the areas of sanitation and pest management programs.  


You will be a part of a team that prides itself on a strong history of production of iconic breakfast cereals here in Australia!   


Key responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for the facility sanitation standards and driving improvements via daily health checks and monthly sanitation score reviews.
  • Ensuring that our cleaning, chemical and integrated pest control providers are delivering on contract services and at the standard that is required.  This includes RFP, budget management, service evaluation, KPI tracking and non-compliance investigation
  • Carrying our housekeeping and sanitation training with our shift crews and other groups as required
  • Conduct various audits and provide coaching through daily sanitation audits, ensuring compliance with our rigorous lean manufacturing principles
  • Ensure all plant sanitation and integrated pest management related documents and procedures are kept up-to-date with local, regional and global requirements for compliance with both internal and external audits
  • Working closely with regional and global sanitation leaders and peers for reporting on Botany performance and leveraging broader exposure to introduce locally
  • Lead a team of Shift Sanitation Coordinators and a Pest Control Manager

 

Skills, experience & attributes sought:
With a degree qualification in in Food Technology or Science, we’re looking for an individual with a successful track record in a similar role in food manufacturing.  The successful candidate will have a sound technical knowledge of quality and food safety. You will be able to hold service providers to account to their required KPI’s and have the ability to have tough conversations when required to improve performance, if necessary.  We’re looking for someone who doesn’t mind getting onto the production floor – this is not a pure desk-based role.  You will have the ability to influence at all levels, with strong written and verbal communication and relationships building skills and experience.
